What is it?
One of the most popular events hosted by New Fairfield High School’s DECA Chapter is “Mr. Rebel.” Over the course of fourteen years, this event has brought students, staff and citizens of our small town together to watch a modernized male beauty pageant. This year, three members of Marketing II have made the decision to organize this pageant. This event highlights the male students at NFHS ranging from freshmen to seniors where they will all compete in various rounds displaying the boys dancing skills, talents, and interview skills.
The Process
Type of Project
Mr. Rebel is categorized as a Learn and Earn project. This year a group of students will be holding the event in the high school auditorium. This is a complete student run production that requires help from the tech and lighting crew as well as generous volunteers to help before and after the event.
Learn and Earn: The Learn and Earn Project applies entrepreneurial knowledge and skills to a single sales/service activity to be run as a real business venture. In a sense, the project is a chapter entrepreneurship project.
